A sector in great expansion, that of microelectronics, where business opportunities are still many and job opportunities are also growing powered by a highly diversified and qualified Lombard knowledge system, characterized by specialization in different technical-scientific disciplines and made up of world-class expertise and research groups thanks to its 15 universities.

The region is home to the Pavia microelectronics district, a real milestone, able to count over 500 employees including electronic engineers and PhDs. A territory now recognized as a hotbed of talents and companies in the sector.

The district connects the University of Pavia and 12 companies in the sector with offices in the Lombardy province and in the southern area of Milan An area that boasts a recognized international prestige for training, research, and technology transfer activities in the sector, both at the university and working level.
