Project in Lombardy

Sanofi recently celebrated 50 years of the Origgio (Varese) plant in Lombardy. The company plays an important role in boosting research and innovation in Lombardy's Life Sciences sector. Indeed, during the last decade the company has put a strong effort in R&D through internal capabilities development, collaboration with Universities and partnership with other private small/medium size R&D companies.

Regarding the capacity of Lombardy to support the growth of a company like Sanofi, the pharmaceutic group has no doubts: "the region is already developing a plan to support and improve local connections, infrastructures and services as well as to support innovations, even with dedicated funds made available at regional, national and European levels".

Next step: the company is developing two new projects aiming to identify new nutraceuticals, active in several wellbeing categories.
