Annual report 2016
The Annual Report is a comprehensive report, released annually during the Invest in Lombardy Days, on Invest in Lombardy’s activities and results over the past year.
The report presents an update on worldwide FDI topics and sheds light on the international Greenfield and Brownfield investment flows towards Lombardy as well as provides a benchmark with the other European capitals.
The aim of this report is to provide a valuable tool to point out the existing strengths of Lombardy region as an attractive pole for cross-borders investment flows.
European cities and regions of the future 2014/2015
EUROPEAN CITIES AND REGIONS OF THE FUTURE 2014/2015:
Lombardy has been awarded as the best Southern European Regions
On February 17th, FDI Intelligence, a division of the Financial Times Ltd, published the “FDI European Cities &Regions of the future” report.
The report takes into account 468 locations, both cities and regions, which have been assessed on a 2 year basis and ranked according to 6 different criteria: Economic Potential, Human Capital and Lifestyle, Cost Effectiveness, Infrastructure, Business Friendliness, FDI Strategy.
According to the outcome of the report,Lombardy ranked first amongst the Southern European Regions for number of foreign direct investments. A significant results and a very marked improvement, especially considering the previous edition of the study “FDI European Cities and Regions of the Future 2012/13” where Lombardy barely made it into the Top Ten – Southern European Regions: Overall.
Lombardy ranked also among the Southern European Regions for the FDI Strategy, the Business Friendliness and the Large European Regions for the Economic Potential, which along with Baden-Württemberg (Germany), South East UK (UK) and Ile de France (France) represents one of the “Four Motors of Europe”.
Lombardy ‘s strong showing in the 2014 – 2015 rankings reflects the investment the region has made in attracting and facilitating FDI and thanks also to Invest in Lombardy, project promoted by Unioncamere Lombardia, the Lombardy Chambers of Commerce network andPromos - the Special Agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce - with the support of Regione Lombardia.
Invest in Lombardy provide assistance for international companies planning to set-up or expand business in Lombardy offering a dedicated and professional service at any stage of their project.
Within Lombardy, the city of Milan also ranked among the Top 10 Major European Cities for the Economic Potential.
On March 12th 2014 Lombardy Region will pick up the awards at a ceremony to be held in Cannes to celebrate the success of the European cities and regions.

The FDI Report, coordinated by Promos through its Invest in Lombardy service and by the Milan Chamber of Commerce (Ufficio Studi), with scientific consultancy provided by Politecnico di Milano, quarterly highlights the major FDI trends in Italy, with an in-depth analysis of the Lombardy region.
The report presents an updated on worldwide FDI topics and discloses the international Greenfield and Brownfield investment flows toward Italy (Lombardy), with a particular attention to BRIC countries capital placing. The aim of this research is to provide a valuable tool to point out the existing strengths of Lombardy region, as pole of attractiveness for cross border investment flows.

Real estate report
REAL ESTATE REPORT
Invest in Lombardy in collaboration with World Capital Group, real estate advisor and consulting firm specializing in national and international services,publishes the first report dedicated to the real estate market of the Lombardy region. A non-residential real estate market analysis conducted by World Capital’s research department, on Lombardy region and its 12 provinces.
The study shows that on one hand, lease rate of logistic and industrial real estates are lower than regions of same logistic importance such as Zurich, Moscow, London, Frankfurt and Barcelona. On the other hand in shopping high-streets of Milan, the rent prices are a lot more convenient than cities like Hong Kong, New York, London, Paris and Zurich.
